If you measure it by the amount of terrorist attacks occuring since 9/11, then we are not. This report shows how Bush's policies have contributed to the worsening situation.

"Theres so such thing as a winnable war" - Sting
"Victory achieved through violence is tantamount to defeat, for it is momentary" - Gandhi
The war on terror is not a war thats meant to be won. Its a war like the cold war, meant to keep people afraid so the government can do whatever it wants using the "we're protecting you" excuse.
Why are Muslim extremists pissed off against the US? Bush says "they hate us for our freedom". Which, needless to say, is bullsh*t. Muslim terrorists who are fightin the US are pissed off because of our unconditional support for Israel. They identify and empathize with the Palestinian cause. They also resent US support of the totalitatian dictatorship in Saudi Arabia, the invasion of Iraq, the threatned "bombing back to the stone age" of Pakistan, etc etc.
If the government truly wanted to end Muslim terrorism, they could do so quite easily, but they dont because the government represents big corporations and special interest groups, who dont want an end to the support of the Saudi regime or the Israeli government. If the government represented the people, there wouldnt be a war on terror. Its an excuse for unprecented violations of the constitution by Bush and his buddies.

I don't like to bring bad news but I think everyone should know what this govt isn't 'leaking'. Terrorists are paying $25000-$30000 to MS-13 guys in Mex to get across the border. The Muslim Brotherhood re: 'the Project', is underway with this masterplan to conquer the West so let's make them feel right at home w/our guarded open borders. THanks to our dedicated elect who really should be fired(except the few fighting for the 2 border agents still treated like criminals in a prison with those at odds w/them and most in the adm could care less.

First we need a clear definition of "WIN"
If winning the war on terror means eliminating all terror, then we lost before we even started.
The "War on Terror" is an open ended war with no possible end. It will be over when our leaders choose so.
