How long for? Who brought it up? How often do you do it?
My husband and I have been married 8 years and swinging for 3. We only play maybe once a month. We both brought it up. I'd like to know how many on here do the same. I think we are more common than most people think.

Cold cold cool if someone you knew was and they knew how you felt about it, they would never tell you. I think you would be very surprised if you knew about everyone you knew.

hey we have been married for 11 years and swinging for 2 and a half! we play about once a month and we both brought it up i am bi-sexual and also very voyeuristic and i do believe your right there are a lot more people doing this then they tell people because of the judgment from closed minded and "super perfect life livers" like "cold" out there!

Started looking into swinging about 1998, "soft swung" until 2003, "full swung" until 2005, then life turned into a huge PITA (mainly job related) and so we went back to monogamy. It's a myth that you can't go back to monogamy after swinging. It becomes a problem when you become obsessed with it, and then you're dealing with it like any addict would. But just as some people cannot drink wine without overindulging and "falling off the wagon" while others can drink in moderation, so it goes with swinging. If you can't handle it, it's stupid to even go there. But if it does not harm, it does no harm.
My husband first brought it up. I was very hurt by it at first, apalled that he could think so little of me. It took me a while - and much time and patience from my husband - for me to finally understand that this was a gift he was giving me, not something he was asking of me out of selfishness. He truly was not asking for anything in return except that I fully enjoy my life and live it without hindrance. The fact that he is able to give me this kind of liberty - the freedom to show him love and respect by giving him the one infinite, untouchable thing I have which is my heart (as opposed to the body, which is imperfect and finite) - gives him a sense of peace and self-love. This IS love, to give without thought for one's own gain. To let me do as I please and CHOOSE to stay with him of my own volition. Others may have the privilege of my sexual attentions, but no one - NO one - has my heart and my complete devotion. This is saved only for him, and IT IS UNTOUCHABLE. Because of this bond between us, no one will ever have the power again to come between us.

I'm not. However, I think among couples 30-50 the males are more likely to give it a whirl then are females. It's usually the male that brings up the subject and I would guess that the idea is shot down by the female more times than not.

Never tried it, never wanted to try it. Why in the world would anyone want to submit themselves to this lifestyle? My health is more important to me than a few quick thrills. How my children look up to me is more important then any lifestyle. If your have no concern for your health or the mental welfare of your children and family then I guess "swinging" is your choice of kicks. Only time I swing is when I want to feel young again and hit the playground.

Never experienced swinging. It is something my husband and I like to talk about, but we would never act on it.

I think most ppl wouldn't be too honest w/ya on this one...Alot may think of it, maybe even more than once/twice...but to act on it is a different thing altogether.

My wife and I tried swinging a year ago... I loved it she hated it now I want to do it more and she says no! LOL o well!

Dear swingin' nice lady - I'd never do it. I have too much respect for my wife. The whole experience sounds personally degrading to me.
