"It gives her a chance, I don’t think it will work. This is very dangerous for the Democrats. In the end it may be the best thing for them. No one should make any mistake cause it’s very dangerous for them because there is a part of the public, a large part of it hates the war, hates what’s going on, but within their gut say we don’t want to undercut troops in the field and that’s the danger for Democrats…And, there’s danger for Hillary because, this argument of, well, is she a hawk, is she a dove – she has to be careful to not come across as a chickenhawk." - Dan Rather

I am just guessing that she has inside information that we will find success in Iraq and that Obama et.al. will have egg on their faces, while she will have maneuvered into the right stance. Maybe that's my former soldier bias in the form of optimism making me think that but, as much as I dislike Hillbillary, she is shrewd. I have to think there is a strategy behind her move. She, more than any of her challengers, has inside information. Public opinion has the potential to shift as quickly as the stock market, and she has proven to know how to invest using inside information there.

Chickenhawks are those who could have served but did not. During the time she would have been in service women were not drafted and most were not expected to sign up. Therefore she does not qualify as a chickenhawk. However Bush, who was in the Texas national guard protecting us from VC in Alabama, Cheney and several others opted for deferrments.

I was in during that time and I resent those chickenhawks. I do not resent Hillary because she wasn't expected to go. Her husband is, a chickenhawk, however just like the rest of them.

She is in danger of becoming extinct. Does anyone outside of NYC ever listen to her anymore?

Mark J -- Please don't give her to us. We don't want her!
