Although it is quite important to choose something you are going to like doing it is not absolutely crucial that you choose a job for life. Often you will come across opportunities to move into different jobs and then one day you will realise that you are doing something completely different from what you thought you would do.

Also it is now normal to change your career area several times throughout your working life. So when you need to be working at something other than you started with just accept the challenge and go for it.

So choose something now that you will be happy with for the next 5 - 10 years and take whatever the future offers.

I don't know how old you are, but one of the very good way to find out is through a part time job, trainee program, volunteering, or anything that let you taste the job buy actually doing it.

You can contact the companies in the business and see if someone can show you around, let you have a part time job, volunteer, etc. It's not only important to see what each job require as primary responsibility but you should also see the other side of the jobs, too. Each job has things you have to do as part of the job, but they are neither pleasureable, fun, or even tasteful.

Yes, you should do things you like and good at, but you must balance it with having sufficient income, and be sure it will fit in with rest of your goals, such as having a family life and friends.

Take a Career Exploration program. They are great for helping you decide what path you should be taking. The programs are usually about 2 weeks long and really focus on Careers and Education.
Good Luck!

If you are still in high school, your guidance counselor can give you tests that will show your strong points and which careers would be suitable for you.
