I have stayed there and I enjoy it. I like the price of the rooms considering the location (its mid-strip so everything is right there). Their "party-pit" blackjack is a good time too. The dealers are fun. The staff was more than nice. I have stayed at 9 different hotels in Vegas and I recommend this one to my friends all the time.

I live in Vegas. Harrah's is kind of crappy, but it is cheap and in the middle of everything.....you shouldn't be in your room much anyways the first time you are in Vegas so stay cheap and party expensive! You'll be able to walk to most of the major casinos with the megaclubs, shows, and restaurants. Do your research ahead of time, go to the websites of the casinos that have the things you want to see and loosely map out what you want to hit while you are here so you aren't going back and forth on the Strip, which can get confusing quickly.... If you like the outdoors, I highly recommend a trip to Red Rock or the Hoover Dam while you are here. You can get to both places in about a 20 minute drive from the strip.

Yes. Harrah's is great because it is centrally located in the middle of the strip. I don't like the rooms all that much, they are just run-of-the-mill. They have a great courtyard with music and stuff connected to the hotel. The cafe is nice; the buffet is okay. They offer a shuttle service to the Rio (which is also owned by Harrah's). Take ride over there. It's off the strip, but it has lot's of clubs and fun stuff.

I have stayed at Harrah's. Overall its not bad but keep in mind it is an older casino. Beds are older, rooms are not as fancy as others. If you got a really good deal on the room then go for it! I'm not saying its bad but after staying at The Wynn, Bellagio, Paris you start to notice a difference.
Their staff is friendly so you will be treated nicely.
