I like conspiracy theories, but I rarely agree with them....

A) True, Oswald was the lone gunman responsible for the assassination of JFK. A recent televised demonstration showed exactly how it played out, matching all of the historical evidence available.

B) True. I remember watching the attacks unfold on television like it was yesterday. I saw the second plane strike the tower. I saw the towers collapse. I heard the explanation. It happened just like the official findings report it.

The REAL conspiracies are who ultimately backed these hitmen in both examples.

The question should be if there is a correlation between these events? A common denominator or thread?

Perhaps.

Like some of the brightest have said, not enough evidence to simply state a true or false.

I steal a loaf of bread, I have my picture taken. End of story. I'm guilty.

There is more, much more, to these complicated events that marked history and left an indellible imprint in my mind...forever.

So many loose ends in each event, so many startling facts both for and against. I have to admit, we live in a world where master magicians can fool everyone...all of the time.

Littlere....Know what a conditioned response is?

I smack someone on the face. The likely response will be I get smacked back, with a possible deletable exhortation to follow. That's normal human behavior.

Alright. Now, I get fed a chain of terrorist events (and I'm not saying there aren't terrorists around us), and this chain reaches back some thirty years...and then 911.

Well, conditioned response says it's just another terrorist attack, bigger and deadlier, but part of that same chain.

Okay with that?

Not me. I like responses that are least expected...to the point, effective and conclusive. And such is the magnitude of the power in the U.S.A's arsenal...if the destruction of all terrorism was part of the agenda...that is.

Capitalism being what it is...let the games go on...and on...and on...and on...and on...and on....and on....and on...

A.) is before my time.
it very well could have been Lee Harvey Oswald, but I wasn't alive then, and couldn't even guesstimate as to what was going on in the 60's but,

prior to Sep 11 there was every reason to believe that muslim terrorists would attack. Notching this up to a big government conspiracy is crazy.

A) Could care less, it happened before my time and doesn't affect me personally.
B) True. Terrorists have been attacking the U.S. on foreign soil for a long time, it was only a matter of time for them to hit us where we live. Of course its true and the ones responsible are proud of what they did and will do it again given the opportunity.

Both APPARENTLY true... but you would have to be a moron to not see through the irony of both situations.

I refer you to a good fable, 'The Emperor's new clothes'.

Governments and the powers that be should never be trusted when they want to make point.

EDIT: Adul, those facts cannot be refuted and I have long since come to the conclusion as have the rest of the world that us Americans are a bit 'slow'.

I wasn't alive for JFK, so I can't speak for that one.
As for 9/11, definitely true.
