Red pepper flakes don't work and I don't want to put up another big fence in my backyard?

I saw a show where in order to get a dog to stop digging out of the yard they made a designated digging area (a pile of dirt in the corner of the yard) where the dog was allowed to dig. To train him to dig there they burried dog treats just under the surface of the pile in various places. No one really knows why certain dogs dig, but some have said that it is a stress relief for certain breeds. Kind of like chewing is for some dogs. Good luck! :)

some of these r funny!

This is what I did...

dig around the outside of the garden, at the base of the fence & go down about a ft or ft & a half. & put in cinder blocks or big rocks, pavers, etc. in there. ~deep is good.
& fill the area back in. After awhile of him/her dig'g there, they'll realize there's something there & no way around it & give up. Granted U may have to fill it back in once or twice but they do eventually get the idea. Mine dug 3xs & gave up.

Try going to www.jbpet.com. They carry a good repellent that should help keep your dog at bay. Just do a search at this site for repellent.
