What week/month does the baby reach the head down position? And how can I tell my baby is in the head down position?

Some babies turn early on, some turn just before birth. My son finally went head down at around 34 weeks. The only way you can tell is by ultrasound, or just ask your doctor to check for you (my doctor could tell he was head down by feeling my belly). My son must have turned breech again because my doctor mentioned to me during my labour that he had finally turned head down again.

Good luck!

The doctor has told me it doesn't matter what position the baby is in until the 37 week, 9th month. If baby is breech at 37 weeks they will schedule for a Version, if that doesn't work than c-section may be only option but only if it's necessary.
The way i could tell my baby was head down was when she gets the hiccups, her body jumps from the bottom of my belly.
She's been head down for weeks now but my son was breech and i had a Version. It worked, a little uncomfortable but totally worth it!

I am 37 weeks pregnant with my third, he has been head down since 20 weeks. My other two were about 32 weeks when they stayed head down. I don't know if you can tell yourself what posistion baby is in. Ask your doc at your next appt. Good luck and congrats!!!

My little one turned at about 31-32 weeks. I couldn't feel her actually turn, but I can tell because her feet are in my ribs all the time. I can also feel her little rear end in the top of my stomach sometimes, and her little fists on my bladder and hip bones! Also, last time I went to the doctor, her heartbeat was in the lower part of my stomach.

It's usually in your 3rd trimester that this happens. Around 7-8 mos along the baby usually turns to get ready for his/her b-day!

oftentimes infant flips down and continues to be like that at about 8 months that's about 4 weeks earlier dlievery. yet i guess it may ensue earlier, particularly if infant is larger. each each now and then babiesof moms with diabetes develop into higher than usual yet may no longer be your case. Flipping bak and forth isn't usual until eventually infant is smaller for gestational age or the mummy has too a lot amniotic fluid. so that you'll be able to assume that your infant will stay head down until eventually the time she makes a decision to get out. at the same time as which will be, you won't be able to assume by ability of the time your infant flipped down. yet even if it is your first infant, a really sturdy signal is infant "dropping down" - it truly is, descending into the pelvis. With first little ones it occurs about 10 days to 2 weeks earlier shipping. My daughter "dropped down" about 3 weeks earlier due date and my mom suggested she replaced into going to be born quickly. i did not have self assurance her yet she replaced into correct - my daughter got here about 10 days previous to anticipated. With following pregnancies they're retaining infant may no longer even "drop down" until eventually shipping has easily all started. I even do not have any journey of that as i'm 14 weeks pregnant with my 2d one. do not problem about at the same time as your daugther is going to come back - she will be able to at the same time as that's time.
