I have had 7 sons. How I felt with each one right before going into labor was different with all 7. So there really isn't any set thing to look for. But, here are some of the signs that I remember feeling: 1. An abundance of energy. 2. Lower back pain that is worse and won't seen to go away. 3. A "show" of white mucous streaked with blood. ........ That's all I can remember now. Best thing to do is focus your attention on something else. Get busy with a hobby, or anything that gets your mind off of going into labor. Time will fly by faster and before you know it, you will be on your way to delivery.

Well the day that I went into labor was so wierd!! I had my 29 week checkup and I was getting ready to go in. My husband was going to drive me. I told my husband to take my suitcase because I had a funny feeling that I might not be coming back home. Well he said that I was being ridiculous and didn't take it. Well while I was sitting at the table waiting for the doctor to come in and check me, my water broke!!! I just knew that I was going to go into labor before we went to the doctor. I just had a gut feeling. So maybe you're body is telling you that you're ready. You'll probably go into labor sooner than expected!!

I actually felt fine just before I went into labour (39 weeks). I didn't feel any different than usual. My water broke all of a sudden, and that's when it all started. I didn't have braxton hicks with my son, so I knew that it was the real deal when my contractions started. I did start to have a lot of loose poops the day before he was born, which is quite common.

Good luck!

I believe I got impatient for it all to be over with. Though I do remember being scared to death and nervous. But to tell you the truth. I think in the whole scheme of things, labor and delivery is the easiest part, besides women do it everyday and some do it multiple times, so how bad can it actually be right!!! Good Luck and Congratualtions!!!

I felt restless and couldn't get comfortable. Also, I didn't feel like eating anything for about 16 hours before my son was born- it was kind of wierd, because during the rest of the pregnancy I'd gotten hungry every 2-3 hours.

I felt fine. The usual pregnancy complaints or whatever. Then I woke up one morning and spent 6 hours trying to poo before I realized I was in labor. I was completely oblivious.

Nothing unusual at all. I was induced a week early, so I'm talking to my doctor, and he goes, "Okay, head on across the street to the hospital and we'll get things started." And I'm walking across with my husband when all of a sudden it hit me, "Oh my gosh, here we go." I had absolutely no warning, I didn't expect to be ready for another week.

i felt grouchy, sloppy (no amount of showers or styling of my hair made me feel human). BLAH in general. I gave birth 4 days after this started.
