What about your spouse/g.f, b.f? Do you think people are just naturally one or the other?

I do think people are naturally a spender or a saver. I'm a natural spender because I don't have nearly as many responsibilities (own a home, own a car, family.. etc) so I tend to spend rather than save. My boyfriend on the other hand is a total saver!!!!!!! He bought himself a brand new Honda R600 something-a-rather motorcycle and brand new mustang recently, so I'm trying to pick up his good habbits =)

I'm definitely a saver...I hate spending money! I don't have a spouse/bf, but all my friends are pretty big spenders (except a few who are smart and save what they can). I really can't understand how people just spend, spend, and spend more. Where does the money come from? And how can they buy stuff that they'll never use? I know people who can NOT walk into a store or small shop without buying anything. It's like, "There's money in my pocket, so I should get something!" Whatever...
Well, then again, I come from a family who doesn't have a ton of money so we've mastered the art of $$ wisdom.

I'm not a brilliant saver because I don't make much and the bills take it all away. By the time I have a bit of money in my account, I'm usually so desperate for some little luxury that it disappears fairly quickly. If you observe someone over a long period, you'll usually see a pattern in their financial behaviours, and unless unforseen circumstances really have got them at rock bottom, the pattern will hold whether they have a high or low income. They either have plenty squirrelled away, they never seem to have quite enough, or like me, they're always just scraping by, maybe with a little to spare.

I am a spender and my husband is a saver. It's a good combo because we balance each other out. I think it's all in how we were raised.

I am a spender by nature, but I have had to learn to put a little away before I go on a spree!!! And yes, Ive had to learn the hard way!!

I am totally a spender.
Hubby is a wants vs needs kinda guy. Not really much of a saver, but tries to get me to ask myself if I "really need" something. Of course, I always answer yes.
