I think that we have done enough to ensure Iraq's future. At some point, we have to let them stand on their own, good or bad

Do you really think that if we stay 1 year or 20 years that the minute we leave a strong arm won't start his rise to take over that government. Iraq had a government before Saddam, he just happened to work his way throught their ranks. And once at the top, he sent his opposition through the wood chipper. So what happens to the billions of dollars we are shipping to Iraq when Al Sadr assumes his seat at the top of the power structure. Puppet regimes in the middle east have a shelf life of 4 or 5 years. Look at the head of any government in the middle east they are not there because of general elections, even the countries we deem friendly.

Most care deeply about human rights -- much more so than the Mass Murderer in Chief who is Republican.

We destroyed the country, and our presence is only making things worse.

THAT's why so many of us objected to this war in the first place.

Murdering more people is not the answer.

Unfortunately, we've made such a mess it's hard to see what the answer IS.

Which, I remind you, is why so many of us protested our invading the country in the first place.

I America had any credibility left (which we don't), if might have been possible to get people to the table, get international support for peace-keeping forces, something.

I don't only care about our troops -- that's why I opposed this mass murder from the start.

If Gore's model on global warming held so many assumptions, I think he'd say NYC would be under 50 feet of water. Hussein was evil, but, he did not kill 1.5 million Iraqi's. He did invade Iran, an idea we were pretty happy about at the time. Making an assumption of wholesale bloodshed following our leaving Iraq...well, maybe, maybe not, but, it sure could be used just about anytime you invade a 3rd world power and destabilize their government!

I don't think any more of them than I do about every other person who suffers in this world. I also am aware that I did not contribute to it, and have no more responsibility to them than I do to the others not in Iraq. Personally I would like to take care of those in New Orleans first.

Do you care about all the millions of people in other countries now suffering under dicators? Do you think we should invade them all immediately and occupy them for years and years? China, North Korea, and several dozen others in Asia and Africa? Yes or no?

Bush didn't sell this war as saving the Iraqis, he sold it as necessary for U.S. security. So don't go lecturing anyone about human rights.

Every country should take care of their own not go broke trying to support yours plus 4 others at the same time.

Those that value human rights are not limited to any particular party. If you want to express a view, do it without innuendo.
