I got my tongue pierced in Dec of 2006 and now since the weekend its been hurting badly and swelling here and there, I cant move my tongue without it hurting, what might it be? Thanks.

the human mouth caries an enormous bacterial load, you have obviously developed an infection, probably should see a doctor and get some antibiotics.

I had the same situation. But i took mine out after 6 months it could be trapped food within the hole that's irritating the healing process. take Zinc like i did it will heal in no time.

it sounds like an infection you should go to the doctors and let them check it out for you good luck!!!!

Try washing your mouth at least three times a day with mouth wash.. Its what i did
