Have you tried prayer or meditation? Sometimes soothing music helps. Call a friend. Draw or paint a picture of your feelings. Write poems. Go for a walk. Clean the house, or even just one room in the house. Please stop cutting.

You need to keep yourself and your mind and your hands busy. Have you tried volunteering at the local animal shelter or hospital? How about taking up a hobby like crocheting or needlepoint or ceramics? You could volunteer at the local community library to read to the blind. Or go join a club - a book club at the local book store or library, or an athletic club to really exhaust yourself (volleyball is a lot of fun). When you find yourself wanting to cut, get up and do SOMETHING, anything other than cut. Clean the house, wash the car, go to a neighbors house and ask if they need the grass mowed, the lawn raked or the snow shoveled. Also, when you help others to help yourself you will feel a lot better. Or call a friend and go over their house, or call your grandma and say hi or your godmother or great aunt. This is an addiction like alcohol or drugs, you will need a lot of will power but the more you succeed the easier it will eventually become on a daily basis. Don't get upset about a setback, vow to do better next time. Good luck to you and God Bless.

Hi, well why don't you try and contact your doctor again and let he/she know how your feeling.
In the mean while try writing about how your feeling and what's making you feel so terrible about things right now.
Do you have a good friend that you could go hang with and talk with about the way your feeling maybe you could chill with he/she
Are your parents understanding at all? I know that when you feel like this it is very hard to tell a parent how your feeling but it might be the best thing you could do right now.
Sometimes when I'm depressed I write poetry about how I'm feeling.
I like to have a nice warm bubble bath and just chill.
Get a sheet of paper and just draw whatever comes to mind.
Listen to music.
Start a diary.
Go somewhere like to a movie or go buy myself something that will make me feel good.
And go for a walk.
Those are just some of the things I can suggest to you.
Whatever is going on in your mind right now you can get through it but you must know that anything that your dealing with you can't just cover it up you need to work whatever it is out. Things hurt like hell because somethings are just so full of pain but it's better to deal with things than to hurt yourself or be in a depressed state of mind.
Please keep your head up and most importantly take care.

Therese (my daughter's name) the first answer you got should be very helpful, but I'd like to suggest prayer. Its one of the most powerful weapons and tools we have today. If you really want help, then ask God to step in. He has helped me stop drinking and stop smoking. And with his help, it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. But you must believe. Believe that God is going to deliver you from this self destructive thing. And he will do it. God bless.

Think about all the things in your life that are worth staying healthy and happy for. Focus on the good. Find laughter, inner-peace, and try and get outside yourself and your worry. Helping others is another way to help yourself, without focusing too much to the point of obsession.
Once you get to a good place, think about why you're cutting, why you think self-mutilation is the only answer...Is it stress? relationship problems? body image problems? A recent loss?
if you find your doctor unresponsive to your needs, begin looking for a new one...talk to friends, family members
