even though I like Eddie's guitar solos more, Hendrix was more rape to me because he had the whole package... nobody could touch those songs. truly sublime.

Hendrix was definitely more RAPE!

Hendrix was more melodic. He had a lot of R & B influences mixed with deep southern blues, closer to New Orleans than Chicago imo. He liked Albert King. Eddie was more Rock & Jazz orientated. He thought Jeff Beck was the sh*t.

Put the two together and you got a real mind blower. Talk about whammy finger-grease hammer-ons at the same time as a classic Eddie finger-tapping episode up n down the neck at lightning speed, also with whammy

they missed each other by 3 years...

hear up: there are a number of human beings available extra appropriate than Hendrix. Ritchie Blackmore and David Gilmour are extra appropriate than him. EVH regulations palms down. no person has explored the guitar like him or can play like him. HERES the considerable STUFF: Jimi is barely referred to as the main suitable cuz he became on the time. He became the main suitable while he became around. and as quickly as ur named the main suitable, u cant take that identify away, whether the authentic status is long previous. extremely. hear to van halen (with diamond dave) and u'll see what i recommend. And (no longer-so-hardcore hear to ERUPTION. there is not any way Jimi could play that. extremely). i'm a guitarist and understand how insanely complicated that's. And no person is conscious that music by using ear. there is such fairly some little amazingly trick nuances there. Its the main suitable instrumental of ALL TIME. no longer to show the main suitable guitar solo of all time. eee v v h h e v v h h ee v v hhhhh e v v h h eee v h h regulations!!

Van Halen is probably technically better but not nearly as creative as Hendrix was.

they are two totally different styles...eddie plays really fast, with hard hitting licks and power chords. jimi was a less conventional player, more creative with a psychadelic, electric blues style. both were masters but most people would say hendrix, because he's dead and he was the very first of his kind, while van halen has gone through alot of crap over the years and has a tarnished image. on pure talent its really hard to say, just depends on your taste and interpretation. i think EVH was just as talented.

Hendrix is way better in many ways. I'm pretty sure neither of them had to rape anybody with them being rock stars and all.

Since when has rape become an adjective, and a positive one at that? There's nothing cool, exciting, or fun about rape.

Hendrix was the better guitarist, as far as I'm concerned.
