I want to construct my own web holding page - how hard is this to do- can anyone recommend a good book? Thanks

I want just a page that contains contact info and says something predictable like 'under construction' ! I cant afford to employ someone so want to do it myself but dont want to spend the next 6 years of my life doing so. Really appreciate any help.

Just use Yahoo site builder. It's free and by what you say it's the easiest thing in the world. Heck if you e-mail me i could help you out for free.(i got a lot of free time on my hands )

In the new HTML file,

1) find a tag .
2) Immediately after tag.
Type in 'This page is currently under construction.'
3)Save the file with a name something like 'contact.html'.
4) Upload the file onto the server.

That's all. Easy!
But Remember it is not a good practise to have 'under construction' pages. They will make you look unprofessional.

if you have, or can use a copy of microsoft publisher, or word, (2003/2007) then create it as a page, and hit the create web page option...

hi there, have u see the "for dummies" books they are yellow and black - they're good - get one thats relevant to what u wish to get knowledge on - i believe amazon sell them, but look at the range on the website below.
