You will only find maps of where gold mines are. Gold, like all other precious things, must be found first before any locations are known. Then the gold barons won't tell you 'cause they want it ALL. Same as diamond barons.

You can't really but you can get an idea by looking at mine locations in the world. To have knowledge like this, you would probably already own a huge mining corporation to take advantage of that info. There are quite a few well known gold bearing areas though. Pretty much all gold deposits occur in tandem with geothermal activity so you can look where there are hot springs and volcanos and probably be not too far off the mark.
