If you have a grievance about your pay period and need a more effective answer, call the HR dept. of the company and ask. if at that time you have not been paid contact the Dept. of Labor in your area. and ask questions about the hours and days worked. My question (s) Did you come in in the middle of a pay cycle? Did the person that hired you tell you how the Pay schedule was set, example: such as wkly, bi-wkly every other thursday ! If you did not ask it seems they forgot to tell.

Any employer that pays every two weeks will have four weeks before paying an employee as most pay for the previous pay period. Therefore, say I start on Monday the 5th and payday is the next Friday the 16th. I won't see my first paycheck until the next two weeks pass, making it Friday the 30th. That is how is started at my current job.
