i suppose you heard about the voting for the new seven wonders which were chosen from international countries. as i am from Malta why its like we are invisible even in this matter. we have beautiful wonders too

I'm maltese too and I suppose Malta has to vote too.
I agree with you madeline where is our flag,does it means as we are a small island we count nothing. We have beautiful wonders,those who came for a holiday in Malta knows what I'm talking about. Go into this site below to see the Maltese and Gozitan wonders.Hope the Maltese flag be near the other world's flag.

I know what you mean! I once flew the Maltese flag at the Commonwealth day in England which our Queen Liz has a lot to do with. but when they was taking photos they didn't request that the Maltese flag! it was only becos I shouted at them to take a picture, but even then I think I was in only two shots! it was over looked completely and the people who was suppose to represent Malta did not even turn up, only two Nuns from Malta came over to say hi! I mentioned this to the Maltese Culture Movement and nothing was done either. I feel Malta has a great deal to offer but like you say, becos its a small country no one of any authority wants to listen. I would like to see more adverts for Malta and maybe more learned in schools,seeing how the Maltese suffered in the war during 1945.

If you're talking about Americans ...it is because we can not see beyond our own borders. In schools, geography isn't even considered a subject. Socially, we are not "internationally aware". etc. etc.
I want to apologize to you for our 'self containment' and let you know that you are not invisible to everyone. You've already enlighted many by your question today.

Sadly when beauty is a popularity contest then many wonders get overloked. U should ( well your country should) try to create greater awareness of what you have to offer.
