When you wake up try and wake up at the same time every day--this will help regulate your sleep body clock.

The ideal temperature for sleep at night is a cool temperature, so lose a layer or two.

Eat smaller portions before bed (try fruits, oats or skim milk before bed to help stimulate sleep)

Clear your bedroom of distractions.

Reducing stress is one way to improve sleep. Try meditating here's some tips for meditation (http://coaches.aol.com/wellness/michael-roizen/reducing-stress?step=2)
