Because some people never grow up. If they're not poking fun about you fancying someone, they'll be trying to match-make you with someone you're really not interested in!

When other people make fun, tease, its a form of bullying they want to make themselves centre of attention and people to laugh at you and not them because they have it in their minds that if they cant keep everyones attention focused on laughing at you, everyone will laugh at them. They are very insecure. Ignore them.

I have wondered this myself. Seems rude, doesn't it? Maybe they do it because when you like someone you lose a little bit of the 'control' you normally have over your life.

it's a matter of agreement or disagreement. people want others to agree on what they believe good. so many times, persons of same reality do make fun of others sharing a different one! monkey business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
