I've done both, but "try" to stay to the honest side of things.

I'm honest. I want my customers to be happy and if they aren't truly happy with what they buy they will realize it once they are home and then they are less likely to come back to my business. If you are honest with your customers they will find something they really like and feel good about and then they are much more likely to come back. And besides, if you miss a sale by being honest you can make it up with another customer. Most people really appreciate and need honesty so they like it, at least where I work.

Well, being in lingerie (no, I am not wearing it, we sell it) it is hard to hide very much from customers, so I will say I am honest.
