Sorry to hear about your arm. When i broke mine, i used the one the doctor gave me, but then bought another one, it was softer and colorful, so if you're going to be in it for awhile, it might be nice to have one that's cool looking. Just keep it clean, and don't do anything other than what the doctor says you can do. I overdid it and ended up having to have mine rebroken. Not much else to say, just wear it when you're up, and take it off to go to bed. Good luck with it. Heal fast.

omg i am sooooo sorry to hear about your accidnet.
well i know slings are a total pain, wearing jackets is tricky so just put your good arm in 1 sleeve and put the other side of the jakcet on your shoulder (you could zip up the jcket if you want but be careful not to trip over) other tyings can be tricky to do 1 handed like writing so you will have to use your other hand for a while :-( i know casts are hard to get used to as well but after a while you will get used to it.also maybe people will ask you really dumb questions like "how did you do that?" over and over again but thats people just being curious just grin and bear it.also a doctor wont put your arm in a cast or a sling unless they think you need one so it is really for the best.after a while you will get used to it and i hope you get better soon
(e-mail me if you need any further advice)

I just got my arm out of a sling last week - what a nightmare!!! I found that my neck really ached after having my sling around my neck - so I would rest my arm on a cushion or on the table to give my neck a break...I have a french sling, which was pretty de luxe compared to the english ones - so maybe you could find a better one on the internet somewhere or maybe ebay?
