Straight forward answer would be yes. They don't get your plates. But like someone mentioned if you show up on certain cameras regularly they will just lay and wait and get you.

Some places are now using cameras that snap the picture from behind because of bikes and states that don't use front plates.

Don't forget that other places also use radar guns and laser. Once the operator has your speed they radio ahead for an officer at a given position to pull you over.
You don't know what happened until the stopping officer tells you that you have been clocked at speed X by a hidden officer. Very very popular in the mountains around where I live and in Switzerland to control the bikes.

Keep the shiny side up and bugs on your visor!

Only the ones which photograph you from behind so conventional speed cameras will capture you if you pass them going above the speed limit when they're facing in the direction you are travelling.

The SPECS and Truvelo cameras can't capture you because they are typically facing you front on as you travel along the road.

I love my motorbike :-)

Yep, forward facing cameras can't get you. But don't make a habit of speeding through the same ones regularly because if the police notice you use that road often they will sometimes take note of your bike and clothing and lay in wait to catch you red handed.

Your right its only the cameras which take picture of the rear of the vehicle, unless you have an hyabussa or gsxr1000r in which case you can go through speed traps in excess of 165mph and the camera isn't fast enough to get ya number. EXCELLENT!!!!

They can't identify you but if you speed in the same place often enough a policeman will eventually be there waiting for you with his own speed gun.
Please not that it's different with camera vans as the operator only has to note your number plate as you pass.

If these can't get you there are plenty of other sneeky ones that can

Just keep within the limits if you can Ha! Ha!

Either way ride safe and shiny side UP

If the camera is pointing towards you, OPEN THAT THROTTLE! Speed cameras only flash vehicles moving towards them, not away. I have personal experience.

Speed camera will even pick up birds. As far as catching you they have to get your licence plate to give you a ticket
