Supposedly the government gets many terrorism threats.. so many that they dont take them seriously.

They also said that the problem with 9/11 was that they believed it was a fake threat.. and the FBI and CIA knew about it but didnt communicate with each other and soo it happened.

Then their are those that believe that the government planned the whole thing because war makes money, Saddam was a threat to US, Iraq has OIL, and they might have been wanting to hide something.

I don't believe they just sat around and let terrorists attack us. The government "knew" about Pearl Harbor too, and did nothing, as you say. The reason is because they receive hundreds of threats. How do they know which ones are real? And they can't try to prevent them all...it would take too much money and resources, and probably couldn't even be done. Why don't you get your facts straight before you go planting ridiculous ideas in people's heads? And seriously, the planning of 9/11 probably started during Clinton's administration. Why doesn't anybody claim it was his fault?

If they did know about it, it was the arrogance of our government that caused our downfall. They had the attitude that no one would dare attack the US. Even after the bomb was set off in the underground parking of the WTC and the Oklahoma City Bombing of the Federal Building, our government had its head buried in the sand. Sometimes we get "too big for our britches" mentality. (My mom and grandma always said that).

Well,
They saw the terrorist were stupid. I mean come on look at their first attempt to knock down the towers, pathetic. They really needed some help if the big oil companies were going to get a big pay off. So, Bush had Haliburton and Mobil Oil get together and run some computer models and sent them off to Bin laden. Thats when the ball got rolling.

Yeah, we should've skipped September 11th and gone straight to September 12th. That would have shown them.

They didn't know the specifics. All they knew was that "someone" was planning to use planes in an attack. Not when, where or what specifically the target was.

If it had been stopped GWB wouldn't have gotten the masses to rally behind his dirty little war and his invasion of a non-aggressive country.
