I haven't got my period since the shot wore off on 01 March. I've only recieved one shot..but I have had pain and cramping. What i am worried about is that I have only seen two spots, both a week apart. Literatly... once I saw them , I didn't even need any pad because they were gone. Has anyone else experienced this? I am pretty nervous....

I was on the depo shot for a while and I didn't have a period the whole time that is normal and spotting is normal too. I have known girls who have spotted the whole time they were on it. The shot made me really sick. If I were you I would get off it and try something else.

It took my a couple months before my period went back to normal. I remember when I went off the shot having cramping and such but nothing more. After the shot wore off for me it was light at first and then got regular after a few months.

I was on Depo for almost ten years, beginning when I was 22. My doctor said that the Pill would speed up the return of my period; she estimated three months. After three months, just like clockwork, my period was back. However, it was very light at first, but continued to get heavier with each month that passed. I hope this information helps!

When did you get your shot? They last 12-14 weeks and most people don't have a period. Are you due for another shot soon? I spotted occasionally, but never really get a period.

The depo has lots of side effects, and these differ from person to person. there is no right answer to your question, it just depends on your body. it could happen straight away, or in a few weeks or months, or not at all even. The important thing is to know not to worry, what is happening is normal

Lots of women don't get much/near any bleeding while they're on Depo.

A more serious concern is that you NEED to make sure you're taking extra calcium and doing weight-bearing exercise (not just cardio) because Depo causes bone loss.

I was on Depo for a year. It is meant to stop your periods. A period on depo is almost nothing. Wait a few months if you don't continue the injections your period will go back to normal.
