I train in martial arts with a woman who works with an aquaintance of mine. The woman I train with seperatly accused my aquaintance and myself of gossiping about her. Both of us refuted this, myself quite rudely telling her I had a damn sight more going on in my life to talk about than her. She then phoned my Sifu and complained to him,he called me and I explained the situation to him, his answer was highly strung i suppose.
She came back to training a few weeks later and has been fine with me ever since talking to me as if nothing ever happened. I later found this was the case at work to and the woman had been off and under medication.
Today I find out that my aquaintance is facing a disciplinary hearing for causing distress, I know we are both innocent, and the womans behaviour is irrational. I need advice on whats the best thing to do to help my aquaintance, with out being accused yet again of talking about her?

Very odd little woman. I suggest poking her in the eye.

Could you not explain to the disciplinary board what you've explained here so they can get an understanding of what's been happening with the woman & her false accusations etc......there should be some way of refuting the claims she made & be believed.....or is this woman's reporting being taken as honest without giving you a chance to explain the situation?
Good luck.....

Unless your acquaintence made character assassinations and publicly slandered this woman, there's not much she can do to your friend. A disciplinary hearing...HUH? That's nonsense.

Furthermore, you say she's on medication for distress...my guess is her "distress" was there long before either of you came along. From what you've conveyed, it sounds as if she is the bully, not your friend...and using you both as a scape goats for a much deeper issue...issues that belong to her.

If she is irrational like you say, then this will be discovered quite quickly. I wouldn't worry. The truth always prevails.

I am afraid unconvinced by all of this. One the woman has been off work ...........too easy a solution to label her as the crazy one. Just becasue she needed medication etc. She has been making effort of late to put it behind her. Let the diciplinary folks dig and if there is anything they will find.
Lets face it the words on here are all in your favour and all against her.....could be saying something.

The lady obviously needs help more than your acquaintance. Knowing it's her medical condition & not antagonism or unjustified personal attacks, I think you can find it in your heart to compassionate & forgive. Be polite & pleasant, if really necessary, keep out her way, If you know someone who is close to her, suggest to him to help her get some professional help

Sounds like she is is crazy and you should do what you can to seperate yourself as far as you can from her -- and I would make sure to stick by your aquaintance in the hearing and I don't think this lady will get anywhere without witnesses and proof. good luck!

There's nothing you can do about someone else's paranoia. All you can do is support your friend and stay clear of this woman in future.
