Okay, I'm pregnant... and for the last 2 weeks, my face has constantly had pimples. Not like acne pimples, more like under the skin. They really hurt. Is this normal because I'm pregnant? Also, is there anything I can do to stop them from appearing?

I am going through the same thing. I was told it was due to the pregnancy hormones, as I have never really had a problem with pimples before. Now I just wash my face in the morning and before I go to sleep with Neutrogena oil free face wash and use the toner from the same line. Then I moisturize with Johnson and Johnson's acne fighting lotion. It doesn't leave residue that can cause more acne, but it hydrates enough to where you aren't drying out from washing your face. Drinking a lot of water will help your skin too. best of luck to you!

Don't you just love all the body changes when you're pregnant? What I do is wash my face only twice a day, and with something that's gentle on the skin and noncomedogenic (won't clog pores). And when I'm broken out, I don't use facial scrubs which seems to irritate the pimples more. If your face is dry, don't forget a light moisturizer because dry skin will over-produce oils and can cause more breakouts. For oily skin, use an oil-free light moisturizer. I don't work for Neutrogena, but let me tell you I love the original formula face bar and their moisturizers. They're great for people with sensitive skin as well.

It's all part of the whole rush of hormone thing! Just keep your face clean as usual, A cool compress will sooth the soreness. Ask your Ob or midwife if there is something you can use to help clear it up, safely.

have you been on birth control before you got pregnant? because i've heard that it makes you break out with zits all over your body and that it's worse when you are expecting a boy...something to do with the male hormone or something.
