I love Neutrogena products; they don't dry out my skin and they don't have any additives to make your skin break out since it tends to be more sensitive when you're pregnant. I use the original formula bar soap. Don't forget the moisturizer afterward!

I use Tea Tree Oil to wash my face when I have a breakout. It's not a soap at all, in fact is an essential oil and a first aid remedy/natural treatment for many skin-related ailments. It has both antibacterial and antifungal properties.
You can buy expensive skin cleansing products that contain TTO, but I find it easiest to just buy a bottle of the pure essential oil (2 oz. bottle at Wal-Mart for $4.88, although it can cost up to $20+ for the same amount depending on where you buy it!). I use it for 101 different things, from splashing my face (just a few drops in my wet palms, rubbed onto my face and then rinsed with plain water), to helping avoid/treat vag. yeast infection by adding several drops to bathwater, as a first-aid treatment for minors cuts & scrapes, a few drops added to shampoo in my palm to treat dandruff... I even add some to my laundry on occasion as a disinfectant instead of bleach, and for the fresh scent it gives.
Another good natural remedy is calendula. Very gentle on the skin (while TTO can be a bit harsh if not diluted), and one of the natural ingredients of choice for many natural baby care products.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, and best of luck!

I wash my face in the morning and before I go to sleep with Neutrogena oil free face wash and use the toner from the same line. Then I moisturize with Johnson and Johnson's acne fighting lotion. It doesn't leave residue that can cause more acne, but it hydrates enough to where you aren't drying out from washing your face. Drinking a lot of water will help your skin too. Best of luck to you!

What you are experiencing is normal and is caused by all the hormones. The best way to take care of this is probably the good old soap and water. It's not good to use any kind of medicated soaps like pro-avtice or clearisol or those types of face washes. Stay away from those.... but if you are really conserned, you can talk to your health-care provider...i'm sure they can help.
Hope this was helpful!

I feel your pain :) I have the same problem. My doctor told me that the only thing I could really do is wash my face several times a day.

My doc said I could use basic over-the-counter benzol peroxide once I was in my 2nd trimester, I use that and clay masks to try to clear things up - I'm not all free and clear, but it helps a lot.
