I got the local free bargains paper and had a thing about movie extras only thing is you have to pay $39.99 up front but if you don't get a job within 14 days you get money back. Just wanna know if anyone else had done it and made it??? I'm unsure to do it or not. Thinkin about doing it for my son.

If you have to pay up front, it might be a scam. There are more scam artists out there than I realized until I really got into the internet! Call around or look up modeling agencies on the internet. Get as much info as you can BEFORE you get too involved. Good luck!

I own a scouting and referral service in ON CA and do not offer anything like that. Usually if you are going to get work you shouldn't have to pay for the information, check your better business bureau. Find out if it is an agent offering this as well. I would say not to do it unless it is a registration fee that actually would not be refunded and is going to forward you to a reputable agent..

well, my moto is that if you have to pay no way. I have been approached for modeling gigs without a portfolio or anything. I think that if people like the way you look then they will find you. I thought about looking for someone wanting to use my belly for advertising, but I havent found any takers yet. I am not going to pay anyone, they should pay me right?

I was always under the impression that if it is a legit modeling agency, you do not have to put forward any money whatsoever. So I would say this is a scam and do not do it.

If YOU have to pay it is a scam. Both myeslf and my daughter have done several casting calls and have never had to pay. If it's legit they don't ask you to pay.
