There's two really good colleges with horse programs in Colorado. Colorado State University is a good school if you want to become a vet and Lamar Community College has a hands-on training program where they give your horses to train and teach you how to be a good trainer.

If you ever consider moving out of Colorado, there are two really good schools in California too. California Polyteching State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) is pretty well known for having both a horse training program and a pre-vet program and Feather River College is a junior college with a great horse training program.

Hope this helps!

Colorado State has a veterinarian program and there's a lot of horse property in and around Fort Collins.
Also try Adams State down in Alamosa.
