yes many times.Just last year my son who was in 2nd grade was being harassed and pushed around repeatedly by another student. The teachers did nothing.Well he being 8 years old and feed up and found a pencil sharpener that was broken and told another girl that he wished he could cut the kid cause he wouldn't leave him alone. The girl told the teacher and then it went to the principle.I then had to go to the school and beg them not to suspend him,They said he had problems and I said well yes he odes when no one will help him out. I know what he did was wrong and he felt so bad he was in tears. He regretted saying it and swore he would have never cut the kid and I believed him.It all worked out but I feel the principle should have stepped in way before it got to that.I had even tried to do something but the kids mom never did anything about the harassment.

No thankfully so far my school aged daughter is not been busted at school but did get in some trouble with kids at her daycare. And I was called into the "office" and had to sign a paper. So it was like a warning.
I had told the staff many times my kindergarten daughter ( at the time) was hanging with older "mean " girls that I felt were a bit of a bad influence and asked to try to keep an eye out and I will forbid her to hang with them.. And what ya know they all spread a rumor about a gun and ugh it was a bit rough !
So my daughter did realize you are what you hang around !. Great learning experience.
I didn't feel to much shame as I had warned the office I wasn't happy with the older girls .
My daughter was "grounded" though . Taught her!

While my boys were growing up I spent more time in the principals office and in the court house than I did at work.
The details are too gruesome to repeat.

Not yet but, if he's 1/10th as bad as I was, he's gonna get lumped up by me ! Just like I was by my Dad, schools love to blame the parents, and to some degree that is true but, the SCHOOLS DO SUCK, it's a good idea to remind them of that every once in a while !
