my best friend is also my ex fiance... he can tell me anything and i answer it unbiased... even about his recent ex's.

i know he's a really jealous guy and i have a bf and he knows that and has even spoke with him a few times and they get along.

when my bf and i are having hard times i want to tell my ex because we can talk about anything but sometimes i'm afraid to because i don't want him to become jealous and get set off like he has before.

should i trust that he can talk to me unbiasedly about my bf without getting jealous or should i avoid current bf talk with him??

You should tell him that you have a couple of questions to ask him about your boyfriend and if he would feel uncomfortable and not be able to handle the questions that you wanna ask him to let you know, but that you want his opinion because he is your friend and that you trust him. You always help him out he should be able to help you out.

This can be a sticky situation in allot of ways if your "friend" still has boyfriend feelings whether you know about them or not my answer would be a resounding NO! but if he is a true friend then past relationships should not be an issue. Be careful how you present a situation to him. I know when I am venting to my friends about my husband I do not shine a very good light on the situation because I want them to be mad with me but your friend might turn into an unwanted protector and that would not be good. Best advise i have ever received was from my grandmother. When you speak a negative word about your boyfriend/girlfriend every negative thing spoken to someone else slowly kills the relationship ie. you dog on you current boyfriend because he is such a jerk then you marry him or something and he is wonderful to you but all of your friends are use to hereing the negative they Will be quick to down the relationship and it will spill onto you and how you maintain the relationship. I hope this makes some sort of sense to you and good luck.

give it a shot, let him know you go to him in confidence and feel like he can be trusted. Ask him to set all past aside, talk to you as a friend you can trust, and give it a shot. If it doesn't work out, then you know better next time.

No, I wouldn't trust him to be unbiased. You mentioned his jealosy, and that's why. Guys and women view things differently.
