why did the japenese go back on their peace treaty at pearl Harbor?

im writing a paper and i cant find any site to answer that. i need some hardcore history buffs that can tell me why and the nature of their actions. Replys much appreciated.

Not sure of any agreement at Pearl Harbour, but if you are talking bout the Washington Agreement of 1921...
The Japs went back on the Washington Treaty when it build up its navy from 1936.

I'm not sure what peace treaty you are refering to. I am not aware that the US and Japan had a peace treaty before Pearl Harbor.
