Seems like you're more concerned about it.

Well someone commenting up above forgets that it is democrats who keep open porn sites. Now to answer your question, the Republican party was put up in the 1840's by John C. Freemont as a counter to the Democrats being Southern slave owners. The southern Democrats, really the only democrats there were, were trying to expand slavery into the West and North, which the Republicans wanted slavery abolished, one of the reasons for the Civil war. Most black people were Republicans until the 1960's when Barry Goldwater said that it should be up to each state whether to outlaw segregation and not the federal government with Johnson the democrat saying it should be the federal government. One democrat being for Federal government outlawing it and one Republican being for states to outlaw it. Martin Luther king then switched sides and chose to support Johnson and urged black people to vote for the Democrat, ever since it has been thought that the Democrats are the party of Black people, when really the Republican party would not be in existance except for the fact they wanted to outlaw slavery and give freedom and equality to all.

I agree with Roxie, it doesn't matter to me what race, or sex he or she is. Issues are what matters.
But the person that asked the question obviously voted for Bush so he wouldn't understand that. He was proven to be a buffoon before the last election and those tards still re-elected him.

Actually most liberals are questioning him running because he hasn't had a long history within the government. We would like our president to be experienced, it has nothing to do with his race or his sex. You wouldn't want your doctor to come straight out of medical school with no experience on real people.
Blake- I would like to point out that down the road of history most of the opinions of the Rep. civil war era are actually flip-floped to now they are more liberal ideas.

I really couldn't care less what race any of the candidates are.
And "intensily" isn't a word.

Because history will be made if one or the either wins the Presidential race. It would either be the first woman or first black to be President...if either wins. Yes, there is more to them than that, but I guess liberals are intersted in history making than conservatives.

The only people I hear obcessed with Senator Obama's race are Republican Conservatives. They will say anything to discredit anyone rather than talk real issues. What you are talking about seems to have come from those folks on conservative hate radio who give us their daily dose of clap trap and BS.

I'm liberal and have yet to question his race. I don't really think it matters what race he is, the only thing that matters to me is how he stands on the issues.

I still have no idea wht race or gender has any bearing on whether or not to vote for a particular candidate. If the candidate is someone that you think will so the best job in the position, nothing else matters. I don't think either Obama or Hillery will do a good job and that's why I wouldn't vote for either of them. His race and her gender have nothing to do with my decision and they should with anyone else either.

Show me an example of one liberal questioning the race of Obama. I could care less if he is techincally black or white. He is a great man with new ideas for America. That is all I care about.
