I am 12 and I just got my first period and i am scarred to ask my mom to help me. How do I use a tampon?

First of all congrats on getting your first period. Second I would recommend pads for the first time. However if you really dont want to use pads get tampons with an applicator. Then when you are using the bathroom gentle put it in your vagina at an angle. Every box of tampons contains instructions on how to use them. Use a smaller absorbency for the first time such as Tampax juniors/ light days. You can buy them at any drug store. I hope this helps. You should really talk to your mom though. She can give you more info.

Ask your mom that is what she is there for. Don't be afraid when I got mine I was all like ya finally. I'm sorry I can't help with the tampons cause I use pads. Pads are much more safer and easier to use from what I have been told anyways that is what my mom has told me from time and time again.
