In February my sweetheart and I visited Indiana University Medical Center to the transplant ward at North 5 of the hospital. I was a cancer patient there 10 years ago and wanted to see the place where God saved me and where so many doctors and nurses took such good care of me. While there one of the nurses asked if I would talk to a patient there who had a recurrence of cancer and I did. I told him that I had the elders of the church pray over me and anoint me with oil before going up there and that I had a recurrence of cancer that had metastasized requiring 7 1/2 hrs of surgery and endured two augmuous stem cell transplants and 2 rounds of high dose chemotherapy and that my faith in God was the reason I survivied. He talked about his family to me and my sweetheart and what they mean to him and I told him that he would be alright and to keep his faith strong. He said that I was an inspiration to him. We all held hands and agreed in prayer for his healing of cancer and took a picture with him. I told him that I loved him and left there with the best feeling in my heart just knowing I done something good for a fellow human being. I believe that God led me to talk to him that day. I know that God smiled down on us all that day.

My boyfriend doesnt have very much money, and my family does, so this last friday we went to the mall and he really needed new track shoes because his from last year were getting really small, so I bought him a brand new pair. Just so he wouldn't have to go without, and because I love him.

While my Husband was in Iraq I would collect his favorite things and send them to him once a month. In every box I would include stuff for his 5 room mates too.

Today, I brought a bunch of pencils & pens to my day program, & everyone was delighted. It was an unexpected surprise.
