If the game hasn't started yet, then leave that room and find a new room. The opponent may have been sitting in that room for a half hour while they make a sandwich or talk on the phone. Check their status for how long they have been idle.
If it's a case of you were playing the game, and then they just stopped playing, you have to wait them out, about 3 minutes, before they forfeit the game. If you leave the room first, they win and you lose. Of course, it's only meaningless points you lose, so not a big deal, if you don't want to wait the 3 minutes.
