Seems like 3/4 of the whole bag is hard pretzels (which I hate)
By the time I clean all the pretzels out of it, there's hardly anything left! >: (

Because the pretzels are cheap filler compared to the more expensive mixes. You also see that with mixed nuts. It's usually at least 50% peanuts if not more. Or my all time favorite marketing ploy... Big back of chips only to see it fill 1/3rd or perhaps 1/2 of the bag.

I don't care for the pretzels either. I like to eat the Chex mix cereal part.

Pretzels are inexpensive so the put a larger amount in so they can make more money on the bag..

because of the large salt crystals they are the most likely to fall off the conveyor belts and onto the floor, where they sweep them up and put them into the bags. true story.
