On adverage there is a greater risk of birth defects in women 35 and older. But you can still have children until you start going through menaupause, which is on average when women turn 50.

There is no "average" age...I have a friend who had her first (and only) child at 50.

when shes going through menopause. But also she could still have a child then. Asking a Dr. would be your best way to go.
