My husband and I have Blue Cross which we pay $350. a month for the both of us with a 70/30 plan and a $1,500 deductable. How much (rough estimate) does it cost to add a new baby to the policy when it is born?
Is it better to get a new policy for the 3 of us as a family policy .. or just continue our policy and add the baby?

thanks!!

You need to contact Blue Cross, or your employer (if that's where the insurance is going through).

I have 1 child, and we joined the family plan right away. It was more expensive that way, but, that way if we had more kids, we didn't have to scramble and change things.

Your call, though.

You will want to call BC and find that out. Each policy is going to be different and one we cannot tell you. You will have to have a family policy though I believe.

Definately need to ask the company on this one. I have one plan of Blue Cross and it is $400 for my hubby but only $125 for baby. It depends on what plan you have, so you really need to call the company number on your card.
