He took the photos before i came on the scene. I didn't know about them until after we were married. I know he has shown them to some of our mutual acquaintances. I have not seen the photos, but she admitted that they were very explicit. I try to act like it doesn't matter, but I know other guys are laughing at me behind my back.

That's the unfortunate part of each of us having a past. There isn't much you can do other than accept that the pictures are out there and they are controlled by an immature person that only wants to destroy something he doesn't have. I could tell you what I would do in your shoes, but it would be illegal and I would risk going to jail for it. I would get the pictures and make him keep a promise to stay out of our lives forever or he would lose the use of his legs. I always believe in acting in a mature way until someone would intentionally hurt my wife. If trying to settle things in a mature way isn't an option there's always a baseball bat in a secluded alley with no witnesses that can make anyone a believer in their creator. Guess I lived near Detroit too long

Ask him politely to destroy the photos as I am sure you don't need to see them. And let him know that you would do the same for him if the tables were turned. If he is a total jerk and continues this I would get a lawyer and sue the SOB because unless your wife is a celebrity she has the right to her privacy. I personally think celebs should have that right also but I didn't make the rules.

You could contact your former friend and let him know that you and your wife know that he has been showing those photos to people. And follow that up with:
"My wife is contacting an attorney to sue you over those photos."
"As we were friends, I hope you can prove that you had her consent to take them, like a sign letter."
"She is so pissed that you could end up in the poor house, sorry dude."

Be a man and confront him about it. Try and talk to him about it and see if he would be willing to get rid of the picture(in front of you). Or talk to your wife about it, and see if she can't do anything about it. Unless she doesn't care if he still has them (in that case I would say that you probably picked someone you couldn't bring home to mom).

Deal with it or demand the pictures out of respect for your marriage.
