Being a teen is very hectic, and your personality changes a lot, because your exploring all the different options of who you can be. You try on different looks (emo/goth, preppy, sporty, nerdy), you try different friends, you try different ways of interacting with the world. It's really confusing because everyone tells you to "just be yourself," but you don't know who that self is yet, or who you want that self to become.

Your body changes a lot, too, and so does your perception of it. And everything you experience seems really dramatic and important, and you feel like no one could possibly understand the unique feelings you experience, even though a surprising number of people do.

But if you have some good friends to depend on, and something to love, you'll pull through okay.

Wow K, I can only answer your question if I'm a teen. Well I'm 27 so I guess I won't answer. But I feel discriminated against, and very old.
