It's so much easier when a person is calling you cause they already know what they want and they have questions for you to answer.

I've had both and I would much rather make then than receive. I am not a phone person, though. I don't like talking on the phone.

Since most readers here answering is not a phychologist, it is hard to explain why he is like he is. However feel good in knowing that you did everything you could to make the situation better for him, now it is his turn to turn things around and make a bad situation good. Although you have been very supportive of him he now has to be supportive of himself. As a man I went through tough times in my life and I knew I still had responsibilities taking care of my wife and two girls at the time, but I stayed with it and strived to go forward, and was strong willed, as the mind can override any troubles in life if a person uses their brain that was given to them. I climbed the mountain and reached the other side, and was able to get back on track, and it was not easy as it took over six months, but now my girls are women , my home is paid for , I am retired, and I am still with my wife and enjoying life as it was meant to be, and did not receive any counseling, other that my wife pushing me on and supporting me, as I see you did with you man but it took my willingness and determination to make it happen, and it did, so your partner has to come to the realization that life is not easy , and nothing comes to those who wait, they have to go forward and take it, it can be done and life is much more appreciated once it is accomplished, so just keep talking and encouraging him as that as all that you can do. Good luck to you and him.

Id rather have a job receiving them. I have placed outbound calls before and they are horrible. You are always interrupting soemones dinner, nap or sex life. When the calls are inbound, they have know what they want.

Aghh......i've had both and honestly...Both blowwww.....I mean at one point or another you have to be so unhappy with life to work somewhere like that.It really gets to you..Either they're yelling at you because it's customer service, or you're calling and they're hanging up on you because they are so sick and tired of all the telemarketers out there..Hope this makes sense. Cheers

I prefer answering. If I'm trying to call people and I can reach them, I would feel like I can't get my job done. If people are calling me for information, I can help them with what they need.

In my business, people call me for advice and I try to help them out.
