Oh, how I agree (are your listening Yahoo? Zap me!)
Another thing which pi**ed me off big time about them was that I play Literati on Yahoo (quite a lot actually!!!) and they "cleaned up" a few months back and now forbid certain words.
These include the word "c*ck". I live in the UK, in the countryside and see many male birds which are generally known as "cocks" as opposed to "hens". When I played an american one time he was surprised that the word c*ck did not mean - to me - the thing between a man's legs! Well, it does but it also has another meaning - see above.
They banned "sh*t" (which is still in most dictionaries) and "w*nk" but allow "frig" which I always thought of as an alternative to "w*nk". There are numerous other words they do not "allow".
Yahoo is a law unto itself just like the Yahoos were in Gulliver'sTravels by Jonathan Swift.
I think they should stop messing around with computers and get a life. Step out of the Twilight Zone, Yahoo, into the real world...
PS - when I previewed this answer they had inserted four asterisks where I wrote the word which means one male bird. Strangely enough when I wrote the word "cocks" they allowed it!!!
I suppose you have to laugh...
MY APOLOGIES - I have banged on a bit here. Other answers are so short and to the point but you have really lit my fire with this question!

It's Melvin's fault. Never trust an emu with a top hat I say. Things always get a bit bizzare when he's around.
