Actually all life forms can sense time, even if they have no concepts that allow them to use it as a predictive tool. Time is essentially our concept of the way to measure and predict change. Forms such as trees prepare for changes in seasons, and even changes from night to day. So in that way they have a prediction strategy built into their survival mechanism.
As to getting bored, they have more problems with woodpeckers in that respect than with lack of movement.

i don't know what a tree thinks or if a tree thinks . i kind of think a tree wishes to grow and to be a good tree the best tree it can be.
i know that trees sure can be used to tell us about time the rings show years and for the very knowledgeable they can tell them many things about the conditions during that year. if it was dry or wet all sorts of stuff . trees to evolve so there must be at least that much intelligence sort of the common thread of all intelligence that i think is linked to Gods will.

There's nothing to say that just because trees lack a nervous system there isn't some sort of something there.
So, it's possible.
All I know is... if I were a tree... I would be bored out of my mind.
:/

They have no nervous system, therefore no consciousness. They're not aware of time, just as they aren't able to experience boredom.
