how do you get the golden child?

I have level 3 in all tech catorgies, basically ive finished the game but i just cant get the golden child. i keep putting a nursing mother in the lagoon but i still cant get the golden child. PLZ HELP ME!!

It might help next time if you actually put in the title of the game you were looking for help on. ^.^; I only recognized the game because I had played it before. (For those of you reading it's a small downloadable game called "Virtual Villagers".)

As you already know, you need to drop a nursing mother (a mother with a baby) into the lagoon in the top left-hand side of the screen.

There are two things you can try:
1. Wait for the mother to actually be 'nursing' the child.
-- there will be a time when the mother actually stops walking around and actually tends to the child. Pick the mother up at that moment and try dropping her in the lagoon.
2. Follow around one of the pregnant villagers until the baby appears. Exactally (or as close as you can) when the baby appears, pick the mother up and drop her in the lagoon.

I have also heard of the occational problem of getting the golden child to appear if you have a full island population. It might be true or it might not. If you are still having problems (and you have a full population), try waiting until you have a smaller island population.

Covering a child in gold is not only cruel and dangerous...im pretty sure its illegal! You would kill him!
