I had some bad things done to me when I was a little girl. I was molested by a neighbor, abused by someone in my family and some other stuff that I'd rather not talk about. The man who molested me never went to jail. He didn't even get put on the Sex Offender's List.

How can I ever let go of the hurt? The pain this is causing me? I just want to forget.

Unfortunately, it isn't something anyone can forget. I hope whoever he is, he isn't still a neighbor.
But whether he is or isn't, you need to deal with it in order to move on with your life. The best way to do that, I found, was to talk with someone positive. (A councilor, a parent, a teacher, or even a close friend.) But talk to someone who you know you can trust and talk about what you can do to keep a positive outlook on life. Don't let yourself become a hermit. Life is too good for that. But find ways of releasing all the bottled up feelings and emotions so they don't mess with your head.
It wasn't your fault and believe it or not if you don't let it out, your head can get pretty screwed up over it. Try to get up every morning and tell yourself that "Today is going to be a different and exciting Day" and force yourself to believe only in the positive. That is best thing. Smile at everyone and try to find the good in everything.
Even the bad, most terrible things in the world have something good about them. Find the good and learn from it. It helps.
Good Luck

Do you have someone to talk to? Someone who also has been through it? That helps a lot to get it all out. Then, you are giving the person who did this to you the power to ruin your life by not seeking help or being able to move on. Your best revenge is success! You're strong and you're not a victim anymore! Pay yourself back for all the hurt you recieved by taking care of you! Eventually you will be alble to reach out and help others who have been through this too.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to see a counselor about this. Or a good friend. Sometimes when bad things are done to us, just telling someone about it helps a lot. Then live your life. Time heals all wounds!

I think you should go to therapy. Or even talk to someone in your family for support. Take care. Hope you feel better soon.

My suggest is to get a shrink. If you can not afford one, tell your best friend or someone you can trust or get a diray.

without a doubt or hesitation, YOU NEED TO GET INTO SOME THERAPY.
