After putting in three months work, working 76 hours a week, haveONE DAY OFF THE WHOLE TIME, I got sick with strep throat, an inner ear infection, and a sinus infection all at once.

I went home early Friday before last, and missed all Saturday before last....didn't go to the doctor because I thought I had just caught some kind of bug that's going around.
I went back to work last Monday, worked all week and left early on Friday to go to the doctor, went in on Saturday morning, and left early because I got so sick.

This morning, I come in, and I have been told that I am being REMOVED as manager and demoted to PART-TIME HOURLY HELP.

This is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever seen! I worked my @SS off and sacrificed for three months, and this is how I get treated? : (

Seriously?!

God, I've never encountered such a problem, but that's because I'm still a student.

And anyways, was there any official reason given to why you were demoted? If there wasn't, kick a fuss in HR and if they won't budge, get help from your Manpower ministry.

All the best.

Well, unfortuantly employers can do a lot of things but if you feel that you are being treated unfairly I would recommend talking to a lawyer and discussing any options you have or finding a new job.

Loyatly between company and employee is just about gone these days but they expect you to be loyal to them...

Speak up for yourself. You have to show, them you care. Give them the situation, and the doctor statements showing proff. If they still choose to treat you in such a manner sue them. Thats not fair.....they are allowed to take time off, so why cant you. People get sick .Nobodys Perfect. How can they know what you feel if its stays on the inside. Control your anger and make your views known.

An employers has not treated me like that. It looks like you tried to take two 3-day weekends in a row. I think you should either bring in a doctor's note and plead your case or get a better job.

That is one of the worst cases I've ever heard. Just because you were sick they demoted you? I would leave the company instead of working w/people who have those kind of tactics.

Sounds trumped up to me. Labor board review may be in order.
