If you still have hot water in the bathroom, probably a line from the tank to the faucet leaking or clogged. Try following it back and see if there is a leak or problem; might just have to call a plumber.

Is the hot water coming out of other faucets in your home, just not the one in the kitchen, or is it all the hot water taps?
If it's not coming up anywhere, check to make sure your water heater is working (and that your bill has been paid).
"On electric water heaters, they commonly have two heating elements that work in turns. First the top element heats up the top of the tank, then power goes to the lower element. If the lower element is out, only the top of the tank gets heated. If the top element isn't working, there will be no hot water. Sometimes the Reset button needs to be pushed or reset. If this doesn't get the element working, use a continuity tester to determine if the element has shorted out. Replacement of the element may be needed. "

it could be debris in the line, to find out turn off the hot water supply under the sink, loosen the supply from the faucet and gently turn on water supply (have sponge handy) if you get water out of the supply then the clog is in the faucet itself. if no water comes out you may have lime deposits in your heater, depending on age. Like all other answers try the hot water in other fixtures first.

check your hot water heater. your pilot light probably just went out. Check out the side of the heater for re-lighting instructions, and make sure things are well ventilated.
