I am organising my hen do for July, and am going to be going to Brighton on the train. We've decided to spend the day poddling round the lanes and on the pier. However, i'm a bit more stuck as to where to go for a night out. Firstly, i want to go for an Italian somewhere, can anyone recommend anywhere? Also, good bars to go to (we don't really want to go into clubs), and also somewhere good to stay. Is there a holiday Inn or anything near the train station or in the town centre bit?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The holiday inn is on the sea front about a 20 min walk from the station or the hilton is next to it. There's absolutely loads of italian restaurants but Donatello's is quite cheap and the foods good, its next to the lanes and they welcome groups of people. As for bars you'll be spoilt for choice, Preston street is next to the Holiday Inn and they're some nice ones open until the early hours there, but you can't walk far without seeing a bar and there'll be one that caters for pretty much anyones taste, steer clear of west street unless you like drunk teenagers and chav's. There is a party bus available for hen parties that'll take around the town and get you cheap drinks in various different bars and if you fancy it you can be taken around town in a fire engine driven by guys dressed in the full rig

There are so many hotels , as you have been told already. There is a premier lodge(http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/textSearchProcessAction.do) in North St which leads on/out of the lanes.( Best pub by the way in the lanes is the Cricketers!) For a night out, if you like Italian go here((http://www.brightoneat.co.uk/italian_restaurants/ , my wife and i both enjoy the food there and have never had reason to complain (Al DUOMO).As you are on a hen night , no doubt you will draw a lot of attention from visiting stag parties so go with the flow if you intend to stay in town. If you just want a quiet more relaxed evening , why not go to the Marina Village, there are loads of restaurants, not so many pubs but enough to get you drunk..lol! There's a casino there , open till the early hours if you wanna chance your luck at roulette. As said before, avoid West St like the plague , that is unless you want students yokking all over you in the walkabout!

Have a lovely time in our fair city and stay safe.

Try eating at Donatellos http://www.donatello.co.uk/ good food at good prices and loads of seating. Be aware that a lot of clubs near the sea front are gay but most are straight friendly as long as you mind you manners and you can have a really good night in them. The Honeyclub http://www.brightonlife.com/reviews/index.php?venue_id=149 is popular at the moment and has a mixed crowd. You can't go far without falling over a bar or club so it's hard to have a bad night out. If you don't like the one you are in then just walk five minutes down the road. For accommodation check out this page http://www.hotelpronto.com/Availability/hotelsearch.aspx?RegionId=399&AffiliateId=5. It really does go by price, the more you pay the better the hotel!

You should talk to Eclipse Leisure in Brighton, they specialise in this kind of thing. Ask for Gemma - she's a customer of mine and should be able to help you out - http://www.eclipseleisure.co.uk/

Tell her that her friendly neighbourhood stationer sent you.
